Design Info

Peltex (Pellon 70 or 71F) is used to give the tags body.

General instructions are given for adding embellishments. Note ribbon widths, lengths, trims, etc. are all personal preference and not noted.

We used canvas for all our tags. You will get fraying when using cotton fabrics. The tags are meant to have a ‘rustic’ look. If you don’t want any fraying you will need to use a non-fraying material and this may limit your ability to use heat transfer vinyl, etc.

The instructions do not include how to cut or apply HTV. The lettering shown on our samples are SVGs that were purchased or were created with downloaded true type fonts in a software program. We used a heat press to apply the HTV. The heat press will not close due to the thickness. The platen was held down for the required time. Some people use an iron. When using HTV remember to mirror image your lettering or design. We used a ScanNCut to cut all lettering and designs applied to our samples. No support is given for using HTV. The instructions will tell you when it’s time to add embroidery.
