I made this cover for a bar/kitchen stool. The designs are from Linda Dryer's Sewn Tweet Home Set.

I made this pillow using the built in rose design on the Singer XL-1000. The rose was rotated and mirror imaged 4 times to create the circle, then sewn out using the multi-hoop feature of the machine.

The lampshade uses a design from the PSW library. (Singer software) I changed some of the fills to a step satin stitch, mirrored the design and placed one on top of the other. There are 3 of these designs going around the lampshade.

I made this wall hanging with a free Geisha design. The crane is from Cactus-Punch and the other designs are from Ann the Gran.

The Geisha is no longer available for download.

I attended a seminar with instructor Linda Dryer. I digitized this photo of my son after taking her class, Manually Punching a Photo in PE-Design

I made this sports bag out of window screen. It has a drawstring closure and a shoulder strap for easy carrying. It measures 21"Hx18"Wx5"D. It's great for taking to practice, the beach, or putting dirty laundry in on vacation. Embroider whatever designs you'd like on it. I modified one of my Sport Tags for this bag.

I made this water bottle holder out of window screening to take to the gym. Some of the machines there don't have a holder for water bottles. The strap fits around the handles of the machines and velcro holds it. The water bottle easily slides out of the holder. It doesn't matter if the screening gets wet. I embroidered dragonflies on it to match my tote shown far left. The water bottle holder will also fit over a belt so you can carry water with you anywhere! I made this birdhouse vest after seeing one by Lindee Goodall, of Cactus-Punch. The tree is painted on, then the birdhouses are embroidered.

My vest is reversible. The tree on the inside back is appliquéd on. The birds are from Balboa and the leaves are from Pea Patch.

Donna makes bookmarks and pencil toppers from my sucker holder designs with her grandkids. Below are her instructions. Thanks Donna!

Bookmarks

Pencil Toppers

This is how I do the book marks, when the machine stops to place the back piece of fabric on the back of the hoop, place a piece of ribbon, cord or a strip of felt, at the spot I want it to hang from. Place the backing felt over the the design, put the hoop back on the machine and stitch out the satin stitch outline.

To make the tag a pencil topper, stitch out the whole design EXCEPT for the stitching lines for the sucker. Cut a square of fusible web or a square of double sided adhesive. Fold in half to get center. Next, cut a vertical rectangle out of the web/adhesive for the pencil to rest in. The best way to do this is lay the pencil on the tag, mark and cut that piece out. Iron the web to the front, peel the paper off and iron the back piece of fabric on. Then trim it. Some times I have to stitch the designs out of order, but heck you do anything for your grand kids! ~Donna
