Once you have completed the freestanding bodice piece & added the tulle skirt, you can embellish it any way you want. There are lots of pretty ribbons, fabrics, trims, etc available at fabric & craft stores everywhere. You can use ribbon roses you make yourself or purchase or use silk flowers. I saw beautiful embellished tulle that would look wonderful. Some has sequins, beads etc in it. I purchased my fabric & embellishment supplies at JoAnn’s

Note the fabric I used for the bodice has the rose on it. The bodice is blank. You can use any fabric and you have the option of adding a name, initial, etc to it. |
